Reputation Grinding for a Cross Race Mount in Warcraft.

You should always choose the race you play with care in Warcraft, some decisions are not immediately apparent. For instance, it may not be until level 20 that you start to think about the mount that your race has as standard. You will get a letter from your trainer inviting you to learn the basics.

It makes travel in the game 60% faster, speeding up the whole game in the process. But what if the mount your faction offers is not the one you like?

Firstly, there is no difference in the performance of mounts. Basic apprentice mounts offer a 60% speed increase regardless of type. However, Sabres and Wolves are very popular. So what do you do if you’re not a Night Elf of an Orc and you want another races mount?

Well it might be possible. The first thing to understand is that you cannot have a mount from the other faction. Alliance mounts are for Alliance only and vice versa.

To buy a different mount from your own faction, you first need to be exalted with the race to which the mount belongs. There are two ways of achieving this.

New Playable Class in Cataclysm – Torment Of The Worgen.

Do you remember the first time you rolled an Alliance character and played in Duskwood? Do you remember the Worgen in the Woods? For me this was the first time Warcraft grabbed me. Elwynn Forest, Redridge Mountains and Westfall were all light and airy places. This was creepy. This area and the Worgen in particular changed Warcraft for me.

I reached the brow of a crest of land that looked over a dark grassed area and spotted the Worgen for the first time. The quest was rated as level 23, but this was going to be tough even at level 25. It’s no exaggeration to say that this area changed Warcraft for me. It probably was one of the main reasons that I love this game. Wiping these mobs was tough. At the time I had not heard of the torment of the Worgen, but I doubt that would have made much difference.

From Warcraft Cataclysm onwards you will be able to play a Worgen. They join the Alliance as a new playable race, and are one reason I’m going to re-roll new characters the day the 4.0 patch hits. I can’t wait.
