An iPad Tablet is the latest invention by The Apple Computer Company. It is called the iPad and literally looks like a small tablet (biblical style). The iPad is about the size of a book held open in your hands, which is actually it’s primary use. Many people use it like its competitor’s product, the Amazon Kindle. IPads have a touch screen and are very much like a large iPhone.

The iPad will be available to buy by the end of March, 2010. Orders have started since the product was officially released and it has sold thousands in the first month. This is because its first major appearance anywhere in public was when it was used on stage at the Grammy Awards. The host read the winner from it.

From the back, you might think it is a small laptop. The front is identically to the iPhone, only five times larger. It is almost a full computer system, though there is no keyboard or mouse. Before I start with the solution, let us delve deeper on the problem. The red ring of death is also known as the 3 red light problem. Basically, you will be able to notice that your Xbox 360 is flashing 3 red lights instead of the 4 green ones that denote that your Xbox 360 is working fine.

The 3 red light problem is often diagnosed as a general hardware failure or a core digital failure. But you can expect this problem to happen right after you get this warning. Before the RRoD strikes, your Xbox 360 will go through a freeze-up with a checkerboard or pinstripe display and a weird, static sound.

Do you know how your laptop came into being? If not, here’s a rather interesting history about its origins. The first portable computer was built during 1981. It was named Osborne. It was a clumsy, heavy contraption, and did not resemble the laptops of today, yet it was a major breakthrough in technology because it proved that computers could be portable.

Two years later, along came the Compaq Portable. Although hardly portable by today’s standards, and almost as heavy as the Osborne, it was the first IBM duplicate. This computer was able to run off MS-DOS but it required electricity.

The first laptop that came close to the ones we are familiar with today was the GriD Compass 1101, designed by Bill Moggridge, and released during 1982. This computer was housed in a magnesium case which is similar to the clam shell casings that we see on modern laptops.

Another two laptops that are worth a mention in this era were the Gavilan SC and the Sharp PC-5000, especially the Gavilan which was the first to be marketed using the word ‘laptop’. In 1983 the biggest selling laptop computer was the Kyocera 85 which was truly portable in the sense that it could run on standard batteries.  Read more...
